Coffee is still good for you

....despite what the anti-coffee people will tell you. A study from the University of Scranton in Pennsylvania shows that coffee has more antioxidants than any other food or drink (including fruit and vegetable drinks). Have another cup. No, seriously.

Man, health news is continuing to get more and more confusing. Yes, coffee has anti-oxidants in it but there have also been studies that have shown that coffee can affect your blood pressure and stress hormones. According to a group of Duke University Medical Center scientists people who drink four or five cups of coffee throughout the morning have slightly elevated blood pressure and higher levels of stress hormones all day and into the evening, creating a scenario in which the body acts like it is continually under stress. This can also affect your immune system.
Now let me add a personal study to the equation...I can say for myself that if I drink more then 2 cups up of coffee a day I start to experience heart palpitations, muscle spasms, muscle weakness and disrupted sleep. I don't need a study to tell me this. Sure, coffee may give me anti-oxidents and cause me to go to go to the bathroom regularly(which can supposedly prevent colon cancer) but I could easily get that from eating fruits, vegetables, fiber and drinking lots of water. Let's all just admit that coffee makes us feel good, it tastes good and we are all slaves to it! If you need a study to make you feel better about drinking it i guess that's ok too:-)
